Description

Urban form is always changing over period of time, whether organically or planned. Specific land utilization and pattern of activities will generate those changes. How new schemes of designs are produced, and how people lifestyles in consuming the properties of urban form are indispensable to be analysed in order to achieve better places and sustainable urban form. This course has been prepared: (1) to introduce students to practical issues of production and consumption of urban form, (2) to enable students to identify and to analyse how new schemes of designs are produced and how the urban forms are consumed in particular urban areas and (3) to encourage students to develop the approaches of designing sustainable urban forms.

General Instructional Objective After completing this course, students are capable to do research on urban form using computer programs as research tools.
